About

This SupplyCompass partner specialises in manufacturing a wide variety of packaging made from recycled cotton and polyester. Their core products include woven labels, care labels, swing tags, bags and boxes.

Why we picked them

In response to the 6 billion trees that are cut each year to make paper, and the millions of tons of textile waste that goes to landfill each year, this factory exclusively produces all its paper products from pre-consumer cotton fabric waste sourced from garment factories across India. They collect and shred the garment waste and mix it with water to create a watery pulp. The pulp is pressed into sheets of paper (of varying thickness) and then dried in the sun before being pressed, printed and cut into shape.
